BONAFIDE was formed by singer/guitarist (and awesome drummer for Jason & The Scorchers) Pontus Snibb and bassist Michael Nilsson in Malmö, southern Sweden, in 2006. Pontus, who had already made quite a name for himself playing with countless well known artists on the Scandinavian blues and rock scene, wanted to broaden his musical horizon by turning the volume to 11 and play hard rock the way it is supposed to be played - true to its roots in the electric blues and early R´n´B. Enter guitarist Mikael Fässberg (Paul DiAnno/ex-Manny Charlton’s Nazareth), drummer Niklas Matsson (Backdraft/Raging Slab) and the quartet was complete.
Having served their apprenticeship supporting the likes of Deep Purple, Status Quo, Y & T, The L.A. Guns and the Quireboys and having just completed a 35+ show 9 country tour of Europe and their first ever UK tour at the end of 2011, BONAFIDE are bringing their blues and R ‘N’ B based full throttle rock n’ roll back to the Musician. You will seldom hear guitars this beefy or vocals with this much pure attitude and bravado – it’s no holds barred stuff. This is a show not to be missed!
